My name is Cayla Pair, and I’m blessed to have been medically separated from the United States Navy after serving for 5 years. I find myself chasing the freelance dream while staying true to my beliefs and the ideas I feel are worth sharing. We as artists march to our own beats and express ourselves in creative ways. My dog Pixie reminds me every day that the world is different for every being. She is so quirky and lovable, and keeps me humble, knowing that the world is not so black and white. When I’m not tinkering with art projects or blog posts, I volunteer at my local Moose Lodge as a bartender to help me stay connected with my community. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in game art and the visual arts in May of 2025. I am now a grad student at Full Sail University in the new media journalism master’s degree program. I invite the community to check out their local arts and events. I will be covering newsworthy stories. My blog encourages all sides and opinions, and all experiences, but let us find solutions and help each other out.
Mission and values
My mission is to provide information about local community arts and events.
My goal is to create an environment where artists and companies can talk about long-lasting collaborations.
The top values that I will abide by are as follows:
Integrity- I will be honest, trustworthy and responsible with my words as a journalist
Accountability- If a time ever arises that I am wrong, or mistakes are made, I will take responsibility for my actions and do my best to make things right.
Creativity- My goal is to provide information with visually easy-to-read content.
Compassion- I have been accused of being too compassionate. I don’t believe that anyone deserves to hear this. Kindness and support go a long way. Putting myself in other’s shoes keeps me humble and strengthens my relationships.
Teamwork- Collaboration will go a long way in my blog because people will have different opinions than others. I want to create an environment that artists can come together to share their experiences and discuss alternatives with each other, good or bad.
